Thomas McCormack

“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves” - Viktor Frankl

From the beautiful green scenery of County Mayo, Ireland, Thomas grew up in a family of ten. Being the eldest of ten, responsibility and leadership was something that he was born into.

In 2009, Thomas ventured out of the home nest and began his journey in St.Pat’s College, (DCU) Dublin where he studied Human Development (Psychology, Sociology and Philosophy) and English. He was heavily involved in college activity and his passion and curiosity for people and conversations grew exponentially over a period of four years, one of which he also spent in a sabbatical position as President of the Students Union. Thomas also sat on the Governing body of St.Patricks College. (He will tell you straight - he felt a little our of his depth, but it provided a great insight into how decisions are made at the top!)

Having being nominated as an up and coming leader within Irish society, Thomas spent a two year stint on the U.S. Embassy Youth Council in Ireland where he got an opportunity to develop his leadership and people skills even more - this included meeting with one of Americas most well known faces -Hillary Clinton!

After leaving St.Pat’s, Thomas built a successful career marketing for nightclubs around the country. However, how we define success, is unique to us all. With all the success he had earned and the freedom it gave him, he started to feel lost, stuck and frustrated. The emptiness inside couldn’t be ignored. Thomas learned something that taught him a great lesson of life quite young.

Success is something that is defined from the inside out, not the outside in.

The soul searching journey to figuring out who he was and what he wanted to do in the world began. Google search after google search, one personality test after another, and conversation after conversation. It became clear quite quickly that Thomas wasn’t going to settle for anything less than “fulfilling”.

Something where he could make a difference, bringing all his skills and talents together in a way that made a difference to the world and felt purposeful to him. That is what he was looking for!

The meaningful ripples began rippling out in 2016.

After taking the necessary courses and qualifications with ICF Accredited provider, The Irish Lifecoach Institute, the rollercoaster ride began. (This was one of those roller coaster rides where you only want to get off for a break, before queueing up to do it all over again!!)

Through talks, group workshops and individual coaching Thomas works to create insights and transformational change in peoples personal and professional lives. If you haven’t seen Thomas in action yet, be prepared for an imperfectly perfect example of what it is to be authentically humble, human and compassionate beyond measure.

Thomas has one firm belief that he swears by…

It is something that he has added more concrete to after 1,000’s of conversations with people over the years…

“Every single one of us are born with talents and skills that are unique to us. As individuals we are a collection of beliefs, values, experiences, skills and talents that when fine tuned to our own individual frequency, can create a life of fulfilment and authentic abundance. In unlearning and learning our way back to who we really are - we open up the possibility of a life that is full of opportunities, endless fun and fulfilling freedom. In doing that, we can make a real, positive impact in the world. Ripples become waves.”

Another belief that Thomas believes in and will stand by. (We told him one belief was enough but he said “I’m not putting a website up to fit into the filter of the worlds “shoulds” and “should nots”…)

We were not put on this earth to merely survive and get by. We were put on this earth to make a difference to humanity in a way that is authentically true to who we are at our core. That is our purpose. To figure out our unique magic and bring it out into the world in a way that gives other people permission to do the same. Thrive, that is why you are here. To make a difference by showing up as your whole self. To live, to laugh and to love.

On a personal level, Thomas has is passionate about opening up conversation with people in the most random of places. Bus stops, public transport, in queues and on walks. If Thomas spots an opportunity for a conversation with someone who’s open to chats without an agenda - he will be there. Curiosity, questions, silly stories and a few laughs.

Outside of that, Thomas likes spending time with family, close friends, travelling and charges up by spending time on his own in nature or in silence. Cutting down on the noise of the world is where his creative flair comes out to play!

Contact Thomas below if he can be of value to you or your organisation on the journey of growth, improvement and the search for authentic alignment.

In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or step back into safety.
